Twelve Holy Nights:

Do you want insights and predictions about your spiritual growth?

Twelve Holy Nights: Do you want insights and predictions about your spiritual growth? The Twelve Holy Nights are a time to say goodbye to the old and welcome the new. Your dreams play a big role in this. "This is the darkest night and you should set aside time for cleansing, meditation, future predictions and introspection," Each night corresponds to a new month. Try writing down your morning dreams.

What is their significance? 12 holy nights Rauhnächte are the 12 holy nights that transcend time. During the 12 darkest nights of the year, we look back on the past year and look ahead to the year ahead.

These are the darkest nights and you should set aside time for cleansing, meditation, foretelling the future and introspection. The holy night is traditional and full of stories.

Weinachten Everything becomes clearer if you look at the German word for Christmas: Weihnachten. It refers to several holy nights, not just the night of the birth of the Christ child. Weihnachten is derived from the Twelve Holy Nights, also known as Smoking Night or Hard Night. No work or showering is allowed on these nights. Those nights that are actually out of time and you can do "nothing" except prepare for what is to come.

Super Dimension: Where does Twelve Nights come from? It is the difference in days between the solar year and the lunar year. It takes 365¼ days for the sun to make one revolution, i.e. one solar year from winter solstice to winter solstice. The average length of a lunar phase is 29.53059 days; the range is about 29.27 to 29.83 days. Thus, the lunar year has alternating months of 29 and 30 days. The 12 months of the lunar calendar run twelve times from new moon to new moon, i.e. 354 days (6×29+6×30).

The difference amounts to 11 ¼ days. Thus, this annual difference of just over 11 days has to be taken into account. Since a day consists of day and night, these ¼ days are almost 12 nights. It is a complex calculation, but one that our ancestors already knew! When does it start? You can start counting the Twelve Holy Nights (also called the Thirteen Holy Days) at different times. One starts on a midwinter night, on 20-21 December. Then you stick to the fixed midwinter dates. In Scandinavia, Midwinter is celebrated on 23 December. Then you can start the first Rauhnacht on the evening of 22-23 December.

The Christian version of Holy Night begins on Christmas Eve, the night of 24 to 25 December. But in Germany, they start only on Christmas Day (the night of 25 to 26 December), while in Britain they start on New Year's Day. Dreams are full of meaning Each night corresponds to a new month. Pay attention to your dreams and try to write them down in the morning. See if you can figure out what that particular month means. Besides, each night also has its own meaning and you can support it through rituals and meditation.

By the way, you don't actually need to perform these rituals at night. After the sun sets, night begins. So you don't need to perform a midnight ritual twelve nights in a row! It is important to perform a major cleansing day and night before the first night. Make sure there are no threads left on the spinning wheel or needle and no wool on the knitting needles. This is the mid-winter night when Perchta, the goddess of light, sails around and nestles in her threads. This will cause trouble! So get ready, go out and smoke. This is the only way to stop the ghostly creature Perchta. consecutive holy nights The first night is Mother Night, when the ancient sun dies in the mother's womb.

At sunset, perform rituals to honour the ancient sun and eat a lot tonight. Night two: Reflect on the past year. Night three: Leave your old life behind. Night Four: Make sacrifices and leave behind what no longer serves you. Night Five: It's time to find your own path.

Night six: Say goodbye to the old and welcome the new. Night seven: Focus on your soul purpose and find your balance. Night Eight: Connect with your guides and ancestors. Night Nine: Let your ancestors protect you. Night Ten: Open your heart and soul to your spiritual abilities. Night Eleven: Who are you? Twelfth Night: Feel your life force! Each night you perform a purification ritual. Purified by smoke.

These nights are not called 'smoking nights' for nothing! Diffuse yourself and your home with aroma. It is up to you to decide which incense to use. You can take sage, but mugwort is native and works the same way. You can also bring a grain incense, create your own incense combination or choose an incense that suits the theme of each evening. As long as it creates smoke.

For the first six nights, focus your ritual on releasing old wounds and bringing closure to the old year. During the second set of six days, focus on your wishes for the year ahead. Place a plate of pastries, a glass of milk and a few coins by the window or outside to keep out evil spirits. Wishing you more insights during the Twelve Holy Nights!
